Slow but steady...
Life as a mom of three under 2 is craziness, especially having twins. Everyone tells me how great I am doing and how I'm a super mom, but I honestly don't feel like it. I feel like I'm lucky to survive the day. My living room always looks like a 19 month tornado has torn it apart, I only get to shower once a week LOL twice if I'm lucky because sleeping at night sounds better than a midnight shower, as soon as my laundry is folded and put away there is a huge pile waiting to be done again, and I hardly ever remember we own dogs, let alone remember to let them out!
It may be hectic and crazy, but I wouldn't trade my babies (even the forgotten fur babies) for anything. I'm so glad I'm eating clean and showing my children how to eat healthy and be active, even if it only means doing 10 minutes on the elliptical machine. My daughter (almost 20 months) has been eating more and more clean foods now, which is awesome cause she doesn't eat much, now if I could only get my husband to get back to completely eating clean. He loves his Diet Pepsi.
I was so excited to go back to Zumba cardio dance party on Monday, and I am so amazed how out of shape I am, but that's to be expected after being on modified bedrest, and then recovering from a c section for 6 weeks. I just hope my endurance gets better soon. I barely made it through the whole class. I will get back in shape soon, I just have to keep going and take everything life throws at me one day at a time.
I'm going to start posting recipes (unless I really don't know what I put in it) or links to the recipes for the pics I post of my clean eats. I hope that will be more helpful, and if I get enough of a following (once my babies are a bit older) I'll find someone to help me organize my blog better so you guys can look up recipes and workouts and links.
SPAGHETTI PIE

I made this and it was delicious, my measurements were a bit different and I didnt have a pie plate, but it turned out great. I just used two small casserole dishes.
SPAGHETTI PIE WITH ZUCCHINI COINS

I love the zucchini coins, I just need to figure out how to coat them better and use whole wheat bread crumbs or make my own.
COTTAGE CHEESE PANCAKES

These are so freaking good!! Even my husband who hates pancakes loves them and so did my daughter.

I Feel LikeI Live in a Baby Zoo
My life has been a whirl wind of craziness the last 6 months, finding out that we were having twins, having our twin daughter Jordan have open heart surgery at 3 weeks old, and having to be out of Alaska in Seattle to have the babies so they could be near the medical care they needed, then a month after having them being able to come home was an answer to so many prayers.
Now we are home, my twins Corbin (the boy) and Jordan (the girl) are 10 weeks old tomorrow, and my daughter Olivia is now 19 months old, I live in a mad house! Olivia is learning new words every day and refuses to eat more than a bite or two at any meal and likes to steal pacifiers, blankets, toys, bouncers, and bottles from the babies all day long as well as try to sit on them in the process. Corbin (my little man) only ever wants to be held, and is my semi mellow, extra cuddly baby that likes to over eat at one point in almost every day and massively spit up all over me, which is awesome. Then there is Jordan who loves to smile at me a lot through out the day now, she is my amazing little fighter heart baby, but of course she has to be colicky so she loves to cry inconsolably every night before bed and off an on through out the day. So you can say my life is a bit crazy now.
I have started eating clean again now that I'm not pregnant anymore and am trying to go to Zumba when I can. I also plan to workout at home, I just need to get a schedule figured out or do it at 5 am when I know everyone will stay asleep, but we will see how that pans out. I'm also breastfeeding my twins and working up to not having to supplement with formula at all, so on top of eating clean I have to make sure I eat close to 3000 calories a day, YUCK, for clean eating that is a lot of food, so I'm just adding lots of avacado, extra smoothies, peanut butter, and other good fats to my diet and not being as afraid of cheese so I don't have to count calories.
I won't be posting every day or not even every week sometimes because of my crazy life, but I will post when I can and give you tips on losing weight or my experience with losing weight with 3 under 2 years old. I'll also be sharing a lot more about my daily life dealing with twins and a toddler.
Last night I was so excited to take a shower, since I hadn't showered in like 5 days. My husband had Olivia in bed at 7:45pm and the twins were in my bed and asleep a little before 9:00pm and I was ready to take my time in the shower. Here I am shaving my legs for the first time in like a month or a bit longer, just as I'm about 3/4 of the way done with my first leg Corbin starts crying! So I'm sitting here typing this with one hairy leg and one almost completely shaved leg. Maybe Monday night after Zumba I'll get luckier and be able to finish both legs while my husband watches the kids.
My goal for today is to make sure the twins get a bath, they haven't had one in a few days either, so I'm going to attempt bathing them while I'm alone today at some point. Hopefully it happens, if not I have a babysitter/helper coming tomorrow at 11:00am to help me.
I'm looking forward to sharing my life and more of my weight loss journey with everyone.

Taking advantage of the sunshine!
Today has been such a nice day. I'm very thankful for the sunshine, because it was supposed to rain. We had great weather yesterday too. I'll be 16 weeks into my pregnancy tomorrow, and its going by fairly quickly. Here is a pic of me at 15 weeks

Pic of me today (almost 16 weeks) I think I look smaller in this one for some reason.

My morning sickness is gone for the most part, I've had a couple days in the last two weeks that I've gotten sick or had a really bad day. Well half of the day was bad, but other than not being interested in food at all, I've felt great. I've been walking and going for bike rides on days its nice out and take the girls with me in their chariot stroller when I'm babysitting. I also bought some flowers and replanted them to put on our porch and stairs, it makes the house look a little nicer even though we are doing some work to our yard and house.
This last winter hit us really hard with wind and knocked down our fence in several places, then hit us harder with tons and tons of snow, so we have to fix the damage from that too. So we are redoing our fence, fixing our roof, putting new windows in and I'm going to work on fixing our flower bed out front that was taken out by the guy who was plowing our snow. So the flowers are to distract from the chaos in our yard. I hope it helps.
I've been trying really hard to be more creative in the food department for my daughter and the girl I babysit. I've gotten a lot of ideas from pinterest and I'm going to try to document some of the meals I give my daughter so I can help anyone else that may be in a rut like I am. She is only 13 months old, so she can't eat everything yet, but we are working up to it .
Here are a couple simple ideas, some of these aren't "clean whole foods" but we are seeing what she likes and can handle for now.
Make a batch of whole wheat pancakes and freeze them for a quick breakfast later on.

My daughter loves to eat watermelon like this, it feels great on her molars that are coming in.

Subway cheese pizza was her first pizza slice by her self. She was so excited about it, she had fresh fruit too.

Natural Peanut Butter and honey sandwich, grapes, and string cheese.

Natural Peanut butter and jelly sandwich (normal jam), and grapes. We have to eat the grapes before they go bad.

My clean lunch. Sandwich, Ezekiel bread, veganaise, mustard, avacado, a little havarti, tomato, and sprouts. It would have been better with some red onion. Served with some cottage cheese.

We spent a lot of time outside today, and most of our time inside was spent practicing walking, she's so close to being able to walk more than 7 or so steps. Its exciting. We also went to tot swim for the first time in months which was fun, we'll have to go more once I get my swimsuit in. Well, its my bedtime, so of to bed I go. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week.

Coffee Yay or Nay
So I was 13 weeks on Sunday, and so far I've had crazy up and downs with my morning sickness! I've been sick most of the time, then have a few great days where my medication is helping with the nausea and then I have a couple bad days again. I'm very tired of the daily guessing game!
So far I have barely been able to eat healthy, because in the beginning all I could keep down were tortilla chips and sprite. Lately if I start my day out with a Bagel and cream cheese from our health food store I'm doing really good. Its usually all I eat until dinner besides tortilla chips, even on my good days. I would normally feel bad about eating junk like that, but since I'm not eating much, at least its something. Plus I still haven't gained and have still lost a pound since the end of my 90 days of Power 90.
The saddest thing is I never know how I'm going to react to having a coffee. I love coffee and actually worked as a barista for years before I became pregnant with my daughter and just love having my one or two cups a day. I was totally able to have my cup of coffee a day when I was pregnant with Olivia, but most of the time this baby doesn't agree with it. Even on the days I feel great, like today, I buy a coffee with my bagel and then realize its just making me sick, so I have to nurse it for hours! Some days I'm lucky and can drink it like a normal human being! I love those days!
Here's a pic of the beginning of my baby bump at 13 weeks. If you compare it to my after pic from Power 90 you can totally tell I'm showing already, especially knowing I haven't gained weight yet.

I have been getting out and walking with Olivia and the little girl I babysit on the days I feel better, so I've been trying to be more active. Its nice knowing that I only babysit for about a month or up to a month and a half more then I'm done. I really like it when its just my daughter and me, especially since we won't have a double stroller till next month.
Other than that not too much is going on in my life. I'm doing better at keeping up with the housework now that I'm feeling better, and I'm going to attempt to make out a meal plan for the week and stick to it so we can budget better. At least on the days my husband isn't cooking dinner.

My baby is one year old today!
I haven't been on here in a long time and I'm sorry. I spent the last 6 weeks being miserable from morning sickness (getting sick all day long literally). I'm 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant now! So I haven't felt like blogging or working out for that matter. I had been given some medication for nausea that wasn't working at all, but all of a sudden started working last week, so I'm feeling normal again.
My daughter Olivia is one year old today! I am amazed how fast this last year has gone by! We had her birthday party on Sunday and can I just say that my house hasn't been this clean since Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! I deep cleaned almost everything for the party and on top of that made the cake and decorated it myself, which took a lot of time! I'm so glad I did cause it turned out perfect. Now I just have to keep up on the house work and keep my house looking nice.
I am very happy to say that I haven't gained any weight yet this pregnancy. I had gained about 4 lbs then lost 5 so I'm a pound lighter! I haven't worked out at all other than walking so far, so my goal is to be a little more active now that I'm feeling better! My husband fixed the elliptical machine so I can use that and also do some of my workout dvds. I'm hoping that 6 weeks after I've had this baby I'll either be a little lighter like I was with my daughter or be the same weight as I was when I became pregnant.
Today is going to be a fairly uneventful day. I'm the little 20 month old girl today so I will probably take her and Olivia outside pretty soon to enjoy the sunshine and start cleaning up my yard since the snow is finally almost gone. I'm only watching one little girl now a few days a week most weeks until her mom has their next baby sometime in the next couple months and then I'll just be a stay at home mom. I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm not looking forward to being broke all the time. We'll have to figure out a budget so we can survive the high fuel bills next winter.
So for the next 6 months my blog is going to focus mainly on my pregnancy and being home with my daughter and trying to be active so I can start my weight loss where I left off after I have baby #2. Thanks everyone for following my blog!
Here are some pics that I took of Olivia's birthday party!

At the end of my 90 days!
I haven't been on here as much as I should've been the last few weeks and I'm so sorry about that. I have been working really hard and have made amazing progress! I am so happy with the amazing difference the working out and eating clean has made in the way I look and feel. I started out 238.5 lbs and a size 22 in my jeans at the beginning of the year, and now I'm comfortably fitting in my size 16 jeans I bought a little while ago and wearing some shirts that I bought in the normal section and not plus size anymore I am also down 19.5 lbs to 219 lbs!! I love it!
So I want to explain what exactly has been going on with me the last 3 weeks. I was all of a sudden unmotivated, tired, and eating cereal almost by the boxful! A week ago I found out that we are expecting Baby #2. I'm only 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant at this point, but it was a complete surprise. We were wanting another baby, but I was taking some time to get the weight off first LOL. At least I got the 19.5 lbs off before hand.
What happens next for me?? I'm going to see if I'm going to be as sick as I was with my daughter. I threw up about 10 to 20 times a day from 8 weeks to 7 months, so I'm not counting on this pregnancy to be any different, but if I'm lucky and feel better this time I'm going to be a lot more active and even if I'm sick I'm going to make an effort to walk and workout a little on the days I'm not feeling as bad. I'm going to keep blogging, I'll try to blog about once a week or more if I can also. So if you want to know how my weight gain, healthy eating and working out are going please keep reading my blog! You guys keep me motivated!!!
I'm very excited about our new addition to our family and I'm also very glad that I did Power 90 and Zumba and lost some weight before I have baby #2! Here is my before and after pic from my 90 days! Also I'm putting the fun pic I took of Olivia as my announcement for facebook!

Lots of craziness!
Here it is day 82, and I've lost 19 lbs so far! I haven't been able to post lately cause I had so much going on. I was sick, then my baby was sick, and lots of other stuff had me busy till late enough that I went to bed instead of posting on here, so I apologize for that. But I'm back and I'm going to try to be on here more often!
I have been doing power 90 and zumba, and I'm going to take a break from Zumba for awhile and just focus on some of the beach body programs instead. I am going to finish up my 90 days doing power 90 and then do some P90X workouts 3 to 5 times a week along with walking and using our elliptical once we fix it. I'm going to keep going with my weight loss, but I'm going to wait and do Insanity later on.
I went to Zumba for the last time for awhile last night and used the last punch on my card. It was an amazing workout, but I was still a little under the weather, but I'm glad I went!
Tonight I'm going to do some power 90, I need to look and see if its the cardio or strength tonight lol. I'm a bit of a space cadet these days!
I did get my heart rate monitor in and I love it, I'll post a pic of the box and you can find it on amazon, but if you are interested in your heart rate and how many calories you are burning during a workout I recommend this one!

Our dinner last night, grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli for Olivia, roasted veggies, and brown rice!
